Hamilton vs. Alonso, who’s gonna win?

Posted in sports

This year in separate teams Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso will make “some noise” for one of them victory.

In February Lewis Hamilton was racially abused by spectators during pre-season testing in Spain, where he became unpopular because of his rivalry with Spanish former team-mate Fernando Alonso. The FIA had warned the Spanish authorities about the possibility that such behavior may repeat in the future. In reaction to this behavior, the FIA has announced that it will launch a “Race Against Racism” campaign.

Alonso was linked with several teams for the 2008 season after his split with McLaren. Renault, Red Bull, Toyota and Honda were all suggested in the media. Renault’s Flavio Briatore stated that he would welcome Alonso’s return to the French team.

The Australian believes this rivalry will be lifted after Alonso’s move to Renault from McLaren. I don’t think so…

1. Mark Webber (AUS/Red Bull) 1:18.628
2. Nico Rosberg (ALE/Williams) 1:19.091
3. Kazuki Nakajima (JAP/Williams) 1:19.215
4. Fernando Alonso (ESP/Renault) 1:19.710
5. Robert Kubica (POL/BMW-Sauber) 1:19.829
6. Lewis Hamilton (GBR/McLaren) 1:19.857
7. David Coulthard (GBR/Red Bull) 1:19.883
8. Sebastian Vettel (ALE/Toro Rosso) 1:19.889
9. Nelson Piquet Jr (BRA/Renault) 1:20.014
10. Heikki Kovalainen (FIN/McLaren) 1:20.152
